Inspired by my bike rides down Lancaster Canal, I wanted to capture the various beautiful elements of nature that exists down there which led to a fairly maximilist piece.

I originally discovered the canal near my house after leaving my job to become an Artist (which was terrifying) and my partner suggested going for pizza at one our favourite places which is located next to the canal. We wandered down there after food and I fell in love with it instantly.

The Herons, Kingfishers, Moorhens, Swans, beautiful Willow trees, old Oaks, lily pads & reeds, stylish canal boats, walkers, runners, nice pubs and cafés to have a stroll with ice cream, young kids fishing with their friends or parents, the old brick bridges, farmlands.. the list is endless.

I hope this piece brings joy to anyone looking at it and inspires them to explore their local canal (or elsewhere!)
